I wish I had asked my mother what she was thinking when she got off the train from Toronto, in a tiny, dusty prairie town, knowing this was now her life.

Telling Your Story

As humans, we are fascinated by stories, our own and others. Many of us have good intentions of capturing the stories we love, but life is busy and somehow it just never gets done.

We can help make it happen for you! You can relax and enjoy the process, the finished product and the satisfaction of knowing the stories will be passed on to future generations.

We'll meet with you in your home or virtually. Through interviews and a unique process of discovery, together we will find and bring your story to life. It may be your own story or that of a family member or friend whose legacy lives on in you.

Over a 1-2 month period we meet approximately four times for about one hour each time.  Between meetings there is 3-4 hours of additional work. As we go through the process together you can expect laughter, perhaps a few tears and a tremendous sense of accomplishment as the story takes form. You will see what you may have thought was an ordinary life is actually filled with the extraordinary and worthy of being preserved and shared.

Whatever the story, and whether you decide to create a photo journal, an ebook or a legacy video, giving the gift of story is unlike any other!!

We make it happen for you, easily and beautifully!

We'll WALK you through the STEPS....

We initially meet with you for a free half hour consultation to look at photos and other materials you have, get a sense of the story you want to tell and an idea of who will be involved. We'll then provide you with a price quote and timeframe. Once the project begins, we walk you through the steps to:

I.   Find the Story

There are countless possible stories in every life. The first step we take you through is landscaping the 'big story', then narrowing it down to tease out the part that really speaks to you, and, is the most compelling for you.

Who is it about and what is at the heart of the story?

The story of the young bride and groom in the photo is that of  two very different worlds colliding and the impact their legacy of courage, perseverance and love for family had on the lives they touched.

II.   Map the Story

The next step is to map the story - the text and the images you want to include. The seemingly overwhelming task of sorting through photos and memorabilia becomes much easier once you have a story you can use as a lens.

III.   Share the Story

The final step  is to decide how you want to preserve and share the story with family and friends.  A beautifully crafted book you can hold in your hands, an e-book that can be shared around the globe with a click of a button, a narrated video, or a combination - whatever suits your situation.

There are ALWAYS more stories!

What about the other stories - the ones you didn't tell and are still itching to be told?

The beauty of 'landscaping the BIG story' is that you have the INFORMATION and TOOLS to find and tell future stories yourself. If you get stuck, we are always available to to give you a little expert guidance!
